Terms of service

How booking, quoting and paying for work with Heremechanic is intended to operate.

These terms are a plain-English draft and are not yet legally binding. They need review by counsel before launch, and the sections marked below need decisions Heremechanic has not yet made.

1. Who these terms are between

These terms describe the arrangement between Heremechanic and anyone requesting car service or repair through this website in Bengaluru.

To be completed: the registered legal entity name, company registration number, GSTIN and registered address. These are not published until confirmed.

2. Requests are not confirmed bookings

Submitting a form on this site is a request for a callback, not a confirmed booking. A booking exists only once we have spoken to you, agreed the work and agreed a time. Nothing on this site reserves a slot by itself, and no payment is taken at the point of request.

3. Quotes, inspection and approval

No prices are published on this site, because the cost of a job depends on the vehicle and the parts chosen. The sequence for every job is:

  • we inspect the vehicle before replacing anything;
  • we give you an itemised quote separating parts from labour, before work starts;
  • if the inspection finds work outside that quote, we contact you and do not proceed on it without your approval;
  • you receive an itemised invoice on completion, showing parts fitted and labour performed.

4. Doorstep service conditions

Doorstep work requires a suitable, accessible parking space and permission from the property or building management where applicable. If work cannot safely or lawfully be carried out at the location on arrival, we will say so and offer to carry out the work at the workshop instead.

Some work cannot be performed at a doorstep visit regardless of conditions, because it requires a lift, an alignment rig or a spray booth. The service pages state which work this applies to.

5. Parts and warranty

We fit OEM or equivalent-standard parts and identify what is being fitted before it is fitted. Parts carry the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty terms for parts and labour are stated on your quote and invoice for the specific job.

To be completed: the standard labour warranty period and the claims process. No blanket period is stated here until that decision is made.

6. Cancellation and rescheduling

To be completed: cancellation windows, any charge for a wasted visit, and the rescheduling process. Until these are defined, cancellation is handled directly on the call and no cancellation charge is applied.

7. Coverage

Service areas listed on this site are indicative. We confirm whether we can reach your exact address on the callback, before a booking is made.

8. Liability

To be completed — requires legal review. Limitation of liability, insurance cover for vehicles in our custody during pickup and workshop work, and the dispute process are not stated here because they must be drafted by counsel rather than approximated.

9. Governing law

To be completed: governing law and jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms will be replaced in full by a reviewed version before launch. Material changes after that will be reflected on this page.
